My Sweet Niece!
Over a year ago I took some online digital scrapbooking classes from Jessica Sprague. Since the boys and I have some vacation time this week I decided to try and complete some of the pages (Finally!) Here is a page I finished today of my niece when she came over this past August. Isn't she darling!!! The title work used here I learned from a tutorial from the Daily Digi. The tutorial shows you how to add paper behind your title work. I am in LOVE with this technique!! I'm think I'm going to print this page and frame it for my niece's bedroom!

Turkey Day
We always have so much fun getting together with my hubbies side of the family because of all the BOYS! There is only one girl on that side of the family! And yes, she gets A LOT of attention! LOL! That is her on my lap! Isn't she a doll!
Isn't the turkey cute! This kit is a freebie from Studio Baers Garten. The template is also a freebie from Mandagirl!

Cinderella's Royal Table
When we went to Disney World we made reservations to eat inside Cinderella's Castle. This took two credits on the DW meal plan but was SO worth it! I was worried that having boys that they wouldn't appreciate it but they loved it! The room looks like a castle and they give all the boys swords and the girls magic wands. They had an interactive short show at the end that was magical. All the princesses were there and came around to your tables. They kept saying how handsome my boys were and made them blush. It was too funny! I finally got to use pink on a layout! Woo Hoo!

Moments!
I am loving challenges! They really help me get my pages done. This is for the November template challenge over at Dani Mogstad's blog. Challenges help you get pages done and give you the chance to win FREE kits!! Dani is one of my favorite designers. I used her softly falling kit from Sweet Shoppe. I love how this turned out. Isn't my boy such a sweetie. Don't you just love the little moments of the day with your children?

My Kind of Cowboy
This is a page I did for the DSD color challenge at the LilyPad
I wanted to use this picture of my handsome husband in Durango, CO.
So I uploaded to Kuler
and it gave me this color palette to work with! COOL!
Then I used this to help me choose kits and papers to design my scrapbook page!
Here is the finished product!

I loved how it turned out and I really think the colors help keep the photos the focal point. Isn't my sweet husband handsome!

Trips!
Oh gosh, I can't believe it has been a month since my last post! We have been busy. We took two trips this month. Last weekend we celebrated RJ's birthday at Disneyland! We went to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party and got to trick or treat around the park with a ton of characters! It was great fun! Here is a layout I did with the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland!

A few weeks earlier we were suppose to go to Rocky Point, Mexico. But our friends got the swine flu and the entire trip was cancelled the day before we left. Be had to do a quick plan B. So our family decided to unpack the swimsuits and pack up the sweaters. We headed to Durango, Colorado! This is a layout of the day we went fishing! Look at the colors in the mountains. Amazing!!

This is a layout I made for the more w/4 challenge over at The Daily Digi. This blog is a MUST read!! I love these challenges because they make you think out of the box! I'm used to b-day layouts w/balloons and stars. But I loved the way this turned out. I'm glad I made it because RJ is turning 13 in one month!! I'm going to have a teenager! We are so proud of him!

Birthday at Roka!
My mother HATES celebrating her birthday and does not like a lot of "todo" made about her! (I do not take after her on this! Wink!) Richard took us all to her favorite restaurant, Roka Akor for her birthday. It was her intention to keep the gifts in the car so nobody would know. Well, that didn't work out for her. We took pictures, opened presents, and had a HUGE dessert platter! My brother and I got her a Kindle. She was so happy w/the present. She is a gadget girl. (I do take after on this!) By the end of the dinner everyone there new it was her b-day. (Tee Hee!) The Sushi was delish, the best in town! Richard, thanks for making it all happen! Mom, you are the coolest, hippest, kindest, sweetest, most loving, most fun and adoring Mother! I hope I grow up to be just like you! xoxo

Swiss Family Robinson
If your family hasn't rented Swiss Family Robinson then you are in for a treat!
It is one of the best all time family movies. We are renting it again this weekend. We watch it at least once a year. The best part is that you can rent it for free at your local library. It has something for everybody, adventure, romance, family values and pirates. Give it a try!

Thank You!
Both of my grandfathers served in WWII. My cousin Elizabeth served recently in Afghanistan. This is a picture of my Grandpa Maurice. I am so thankful for him and to all who have served and currently serve our country. I can not imagine where we would be as a country if it were not for these men and women. Thank you!

Coming to a Jumbotron near you!
A few of us gals got together this weekend to do an overnight digi scrap! We had so much fun. (Of course we were home in time to celebrate father's day with our incredible husbands who let us get away!) We ate out at Westgate and when we stopped to take a picture for our scrapbooks (of course) a P.R. gal from Westgate asked if she could have a copy for the Jumbotrom at Westgate! LOL!!! So, next time you are at Westgate you may see some familiar faces!! It's all about the memories!!

This is a digital layout I did as a challenge for The Daily Digi (click on name for link) It's called "More With 4". I've been so behind with my blog so my new goal is going to be to post a new layout each day. I hope this helps me to catch up on my 2009 family album. I'm so far behind! Today is organization day. I'm going to organize the homeschool room and get ready for the week! No time off for us! We had too many vacations this year! Have a happy and blessed Sunday!

My Birthday
My favorite thing about getting old is you care less about what people think (and in my case, more about what God thinks!) Some dear friends celebrated my birthday with me at Skye restaurant in Peoria, AZ. If you haven't been there, you definately should. You may want to go there on a special occasion because it is a bit fancy and pricy....but the food was delish! The best part is that they have live music in two different rooms. Our dinner reservations were at 6:30 and at 7:30 the band started playing. In another room they have a the owners singing and playing the piano. It was great fun. And yes, my friends got them to call me on stage to announce my birthday and dance. I stayed and danced the entire time! (I told you I didn't care what people think of me!)
